Dr. A. Padmanabhan, or “Dr. Pad” as he is known, is dedicated to giving each of his patients the quality time and highly individualized treatment they deserve.
Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Pad completed his residency training in internal medicine as well as his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Nassau County Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Pad has practiced medicine in Fresno since 1977. He is a member of the Society of Integrative Oncology and the Integrative Medicine Team at Cancer Care Associates. He is an active member of the North Fresno Rotary Club.
He and his wife, Kathleen, have three cats and enjoy golf, music and Indian cooking.
Michael J. Moffett, M.D.
Dr. Michael Moffett firmly believes that outcomes are improved when patients are involved in the decision-making regarding their care.
Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Moffett completed his residency training in internal medicine at the State University of New York, Upstate, and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Albany Medical College.
He and his wife, Dr. Maureen Sheehan, have three children. Dr. Moffett enjoys outdoor sports, such as cycling, cross-country skiing and distance running.
Rabia Parveez, M.D.
Dr. Rabia Parveez is a strong advocate of research and clinical trials, and believes that providing each of her patients with quality time and compassion will result in positive outcomes.
Board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Parveez completed her residency training in internal medicine as well as her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Parveez worked in a hospital practice in Dekalb, Illinois, before joining the staff of Cancer Care Associates in 2000.
She and her husband have three children—two of whom are attending medical school. She and her family enjoy family-oriented activities.
William J. Jawien, M.D.
Dr. William Jawien believes that every patient has the right to be treated with respect, dignity and compassionate cancer care.
Board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Jawien completed his residency training in internal medicine in the Naval Hospital-Oakland and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland.
Dr. Jawien left the U.S. Navy to join the Cancer Care Associates staff in 2001. He is still actively drilling in the reserves of the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Jawien and his wife have three children.
Steven Hager, D.O.
Dr. Steven Hager is a strong advocate of cancer research and is a guiding force behind Cancer Care Associates’ research program. He promotes patient participation in clinical trials whenever clinically appropriate.
Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Hager completed his residency training in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Naval Hospital, San Diego.
Dr. Hager and his wife, Nancy, have two sons. He enjoys travel, running, hiking and photography.
A. Mustajeeb Haseeb, M.D.
Dr. A. Mustajeeb Haseeb is passionate about patient care and incorporates cutting-edge cancer research, innovative cancer treatments and emotional support into his treatments.
Board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Haseeb completed his residency in internal medicine at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, and fellowship in hematology and oncology at Saint Louis University, both located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Haseeb was honored as a valedictorian throughout his education and excelled in clinical research at Saint Louis University.
He and his wife, Saba, have three children. Dr. Haseeb enjoys art, singing and playing guitar. He is a member of the Fresno Cricket Team.
Charles S. Kuzma, M.D.
Dr. Charles S. Kuzma is dedicated to serving his patients through compassionate care, patient advocacy, innovative treatments and cancer research.
Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Kuzma completed his residency in internal medicine at Oakland Naval Hospital, and fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Naval Medical Center in conjunction with the University of Southern California. He left the U.S. Navy to join Cancer Care Associates staff in 2006.
Kathryn Smith, FNP, PA-C
Kathryn began working in the medical field as a registered nurse dealing primarily with cancer patients. Furthering her education, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in 2003.
As a cancer survivor herself, she is a strong patient advocate and participates in patient education and cancer survivorship issues.
Kathryn and her husband, Rick, have three children.
Jedidiah Monson, M.D.
Dr. Jedidiah Monson believes that patients greatly benefit when their care providers work closely together and strongly supports fully integrated cancer care.
Board certified in radiation oncology, Dr. Monson completed his residency at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy at Harvard Medical School. While in residency he earned a Master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis on clinical outcomes. He is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Monson joined Cancer Care Associates in January 2008 as the director of the new Radiation Oncology department.
Joseph M. Pascuzzo, D.O.
Dr. Joseph Pascuzzo is a compassionate and dedicated physician who incorporates patient input into the decision making process. His past research experience and present support of clinical trials makes him a strong patient advocate for the most progressive treatments.
Dr. Pascuzzo is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He completed his residency training at the Allentown Hospital Association in Pennsylvania, and Hematology/Oncology training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Presently a Colonel in the U.S. Air National Guard, Dr. Pascuzzo is also committed to serving his country. He is a devoted husband to wife Sandra and a wonderful father to their two children, Marc and Nicole. Joe enjoys flying in the F16 fighter jet, traveling, and sports.
