RapidArc is fast, efficient, precise and simple.
Cancer Care Associates believes in delivering the best possible treatment
to our patients. That’s why we have invested in the latest technology
available to treat cancer, including the new RapidArc (tm) Linear Accelerator.
We are proud to provide our patients with world class technology right
here in the Valley.
RapidArc can improve patient comfort by dramatically reducing the amount
of time patients spend on the treatment table. While other pinpoint
radiation machines can take as long as 45 minutes, the RapidArc in one
treatment revolution, takes two minutes per session.
RapidArc combines speed with uncompromised quality. Its single gantry
rotation not only speeds treatment delivery, but it may also result
in less tissue surrounding the tumor being unnecessarily treated. RapidArc
gives the precise dose of radiation needed to treat a tumor which increases
the chances of tumor control without complications.
The precision of RapidArc spares healthy tissue to an extent that was
unimaginable only a few years ago. The versatility of RapidArc enables
treatment of a wide variety of patients using a single machine.
