Volunteers at Cancer Care Associates have an immense effect on our patients and their families. By offering something as simple as a smile or maybe just a listening ear, our volunteers provide comfort and hope to patients throughout their cancer experience.
Volunteers Make a Difference
At CCA, we consider our volunteers to be an instrumental part of the treatment and healing process. Volunteers complement the medical side of treatment by supplying the emotional support that even the most advanced technology cannot provide. For many of our patients, interacting with a volunteer — whether it be playing a board game or just talking — can make all the difference in their day, week, or even their life. And for many of our volunteers, the personal satisfaction they receive from helping our patients is well worth their time.
Along with being there for our patients and their families, CCA volunteers also assist our medical and professional staff by performing a variety of duties around the facility.
Volunteers are needed five days a week, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Whether you’re retired, working full time or caring for your family, Cancer Care Associates offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit any schedule.

Cancer Care Associates volunteers will:
• Be at least 16 years old. (Minors require parental consent.) • Commit to at least three months of continuous service. • Attend and successfully complete orientation. • Pass reference and background checks, as well as health screening. • Provide appropriate identification documents upon acceptance into the program.
